Cupcakes, Donuts and Decorated Cookies, my sweet-tooth! I used to crave for cakes after a meal or during coffee/Tea time breaks. I absolutely cannot resist the absence of sweetness in my taste-buds during crazy cravings moments.
Cakes were the first kind, then came cupcake frenzy. Up next was those lovely donuts, sweetness! and yes came those awesome decorated artsy cookies. Mainly for cookies, I love choc-chips cookies before the hand decorated sugar cookies. I made a few attempts to baked them. It wasn’t easy at first but I made it after a number of failed attempts.
For baking cakes, I did quite a few and we had fun with cupcakes too.
It’s hard to bake when I am not use to the oven that I own for many years, in which I don’t use it that often. Honestly, my cool man agreed to have the built-in oven for our new kitchen just because I had the feeling of baking apple-pie at that time! Believe or Not? YES. The apple pie didn’t happen.
ACT BEFORE YOU THINKThe urge in wanting to bake the apple pie was really ongoing and overwhelming for months (as far as I can remember – recipes searching, watching youtubes, McD’s apple pie frenzy) . Then came the oven, overthinking on how to get the oven running next to a cooking gas tank which was just a plank wood separation apart. The fear of overheating the oven was a terrible thought. So my oven sat unused and new for a quite sometime.
There you go, If I were to take heed on ACT before I think. I would say my OVEN will be so very happy and My cool man too.
I want to be grateful for having the oven, and before it totally died on me. I shall reign it’s glory for giving me the opportunity to improve my skill in baking.
Thank you My Cool Man for the Oven. Oven, we shall start our journey more meaningfully.
